Hanabi Pachislo Slot Machine

3 Reel & 4 Reel

The most simple of machines. No bonus rounds. Just three reels in a classic, simple slot machine. Some of the most poplular Pachislos are also simple 3 Reel because they are simple and that means less repairs. These machines are known for being built to last with fewer problems than any other machines. The Hanabi and original Taco Slot are two examples.

4 reel machines are fairly simple as well. The bonuses on these machines are tied to a fourth reel that spins to give players an extra chance to win a bonus. The fourth reel is most commonly a horizontal reel located above the three main reels. This reel can move left, right or a combination of the two depending upon the machine

5 Reel

Five reel machines have separate bonus reels located to the left and right of the two main reels that will spin as players approach a bonus. The reels can move up, down or sporadically based on the machine. Five reels in a row gives these machines the perception of being very wide, although they are the standard Pachislo width.

6 Reel

Two sets of three reels – the three main reels and three smaller reels above them. The reels move independently. The King Camel is a good example of a six reel machine.

LED Display

A screen either to the right of the reels or above the reels that changes images created by small bulbs. Simple displays that can move in any direction and can be single or multiple colors. Similar to old baseball scoreboards. The machine on the left is a four reel machine with LED displays to the left and right of the top reel.

Video Screen

Video screens that show different scenes based on approaching bonuses. Video scenes can be so detailed it looks like a top of the line video game.

The screens can be above the reels, to the right of the reels or below the reels. On some versions the video screen can also allow players to change odds, volume and play other games on the screen via a Nintendo-like control pad to the left of the screen.

Full Video

Full screen video is also available. The entire front of the machine is a large video screen with a cutout where the reels show through – like a TV set with a hole in the middle. These graphics are VERY detailed and fun like a move during play.

EL Vision

Exclusively produced by a single manufacturer, Yamasa. Only 5 models were produced with EL Vision from 2002 through 2006.

Neo Planet T, or Neo Planett, (2002)

Neo Magic Pulsar (2003)

Planet T 999, or Planett 999 (2005)

Neo Pharaoh Zetz (2005)

Neo Fruits Chance (2006)

EL Vision produces a holographic image display over the reels that seems to projected in mid air. The laser images may dance in front of the reels, surround the reels or individual reel images, explode from a series of reel images or move from left to right and back again across the entire reel area. The effect is produced by a transparent LCD screen which is placed in front of the reels giving the illusion of floating animation.

EL Vision machines are not common. The rarity is a result of the low number of machines manufactured by only a single manufacturer over a short period of time.
